PHILIPP PLEIN delivers the official uniforms created for AS ROMA
Philipp Plein, designer and founder of the Swiss fashion house of the same name, at Trigoria together with Franco Baldini and Christoph Winterling, respectively the General Manager and the Marketing and Commercial Director of AS ROMA, and a selection of players for the delivery of the official new uniforms for the 2012/13 season.
Rome, November 8th 2012 - The new official uniforms created by PHILIPP PLEIN for AS Roma for the 2012/13 season onwards have been handed over.
The event took place in the Champions Room at the “Fulvio Bernardini” Sports Centre, the team’s training ground. Philipp Plein, the designer and founder of the Swiss fashion house of the same name, was in attendance, personally handing over the uniforms to the players. Franco Baldini and Christoph Winterling, respectively the General Manager and the Marketing and Commercial Director of AS Roma, were also present.
This event marks the official launch of the prestigious partnership between PHILIPP PLEIN and AS ROMA, starting now and due to run for the next four seasons. The agreement is a winning encounter between two dynamic and modern organisations, with a marked international vocation. A partnership that gives the two brands the opportunity to promote and endorse one another, each expanding their audience, catalysing the attention of football fans and lovers of style at the same time.

The official uniforms designed and developed by the Swiss fashion house are suitable for more formal occasions and moments of relaxation off the pitch, fully expressing the team’s dynamic and brilliant style. They feature decisive cuts, sophisticated materials, fine Italian craftsmanship and elegant black. The collection consists of a thick wool coat, alternate with a nappa leather bomber jacket; a cool wool suit with custom-made skull and crossbones buttons; a hooded sweatshirt with front pocket, zip fastening and attractive black-on-black three-dimensional embroidery; V- necked cotton jersey T-shirts, in black and white, bearing bold and exclusive prints created by PHILIPP PLEIN for AS Roma. The accessories, also in black, are sophisticated and ultramodern, including a leather two-handled travel bag, sneakers with full grain leather upper and soft nappa moccasins. The crocodile soccer ball covered in studs provides an original and unconventional touch for AS ROMA, in perfect PHILIPP PLEIN style.
